Flexible Fee Structure

What is the YANY Beauty Retail Activate Program?

The YANY Beauty Retail Activate Program is a partnership initiative designed to support and empower clean indie beauty and wellness retail partners starting out in specialty retail (50 stores or less). It provides a range of benefits, resources, and tools to enhance your retail experience and drive success in the specialty beauty industry.

How can I become a part of the YANY Beauty Retail Activate Program?

To join the YANY Beauty Retail Activate Program, you will apply online here. Our dedicated team will review the information you submitted and if selected they will guide you through the enrollment process and provide you with all the necessary information to get started.

  • Product ingredients and claims

What are the benefits of joining the YANY Beauty Retail Activate Program?

As a member of the program, you will gain access to various benefits, including:

  • Shelf space to sell your products without the need to secure a full retail location.

  • No need for a sales team, lease, utilities, or other burdens of building out a retail space.

  • Marketing and promotional support to boost your sales.

  • Training and educational resources as available to enhance your business experience.

  • Collaborative opportunities to participate in events and campaigns.

Is there a membership fee or cost associated with the program?

Like all retail partnerships whether specialty or mass, there are always associated costs. However, we aim to ease the burden by partnering on a commission split basis including a one time step-up fee of $350 to cover costs associated with our team receiving your products, placing, and getting them ready for sale.

 

Keep in mind that costs are always associated with retail with typical retailers requiring you cover upfront costs of $250 - $1500 per item, per SKU. We only require one small fee and it is for the entire approved collection, not just one SKU. We are also less expensive than most one-day exhibitor fees that can range from $500 to over $3,500 per day. Our administrative fee is one-time so as long as you remain on shelves there are no other setup fees.

 

We want to make it as easy as possible for brands to enter our program but also want brands to understand the importance of having to and being prepared for operating costs.

How will YANY Beauty support my marketing efforts?

We require all brands to invest in their marketing strategies to ensure the success of their brands. However, YANY Beauty is committed to assisting you with your marketing endeavors by consistently and effectively marketing the store, utilizing our social platforms to create content, and using paid ads so customers are actively aware of the store and the brands collectively. Remember specific brand marketing is required of the brand owner. We provide marketing materials such as product images, videos, and promotional content. We champion collective efforts and work with brands that share our value.

Can I access training and educational resources as part of the program?

Yes, as a member of the YANY Beauty Retail Activate Program, you will have access to periodic training and educational resources including access to a business consultant free of charge (Currently for Georgia residents only, but we’re working on expanding the consultants for all states).

While there are no strict requirements, we expect our retail partners to actively promote and represent their brands and the YANY Beauty store location. Regular communication, adherence to branding guidelines, and maintaining high levels of customer service are important aspects of the partnership. Additionally, we encourage participation in collaborative campaigns and events whenever possible.
